Fees and Funding
For children aged 3 and above you can access our sessions through funding. Some 2 year olds are also eligible for funding. See the .gov.uk website for more details

If you are not eligible for funding for your 2 year old then please contact us for our most up to date fees. We accept childcare vouchers from most schemes.

We have our annual Open Morning in June, at which all are welcome.

Admissions
Of course, there is no requirement for children to attend pre-school at such a young age and you may wish to wait until your child is a little older -  YOU know your child better than anyone else!

At Plough Green Preschool, we have three intakes per school year; your child will be eligible for a place the term after their 2nd birthday.
If they are 2 before the end of August, they can start in September
If they are 2 before the end of December, they can start in January
If they are 2 before the end of March, they can start in April

If you would like to register your child’s name on our admissions list please come in and see us. Please note that there is a £10 admin fee to be added to the waiting list.

AAbout us

About Us

Plough Green is a well-established local Pre-school registered with Ofsted, members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and a Registered Charity.
We aim to

  • Provide a safe and secure environment
  • Help children to make healthy choices
  • Work with parents, valuing them as their children’s first educators
  • Offer a welcoming and inclusive provision for all children and their families, regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, language, disability or social group
  • Value all children as individuals
  • Promote independence
  • To plan effectively in order for children to progress
  • To prepare children for the next step in their education
  • Build resilience

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum leading to approved learning outcomes where learning through play is fun. Our adult to child ratio ensures care and attention for each child whilst having fun and making new friends.

At Plough Green we have a dedicated SENCO who ensures that children who require additional support receive the care they need.

Every child has a Learning Journal where we record capture their early education and development experiences. Over time it will tell you a story about your child’s learning, friends and the activities they enjoy sharing with others.

We start the day at 9.30am. During the morning all children access structured activites. We have snack time at 10.30am where children help themselves to fruit and a drink (drinks are also available all morning on request). We also have outside exploring time from 10.30-11.30 (longer in the warmer months!).
