About Us

Plough Green is a well-established local Pre-school registered with Ofsted, are members of the Early Years Learning

Alliance and National Day Nurseries Association and are a registered charity.
We aim to

  • Provide a safe and secure environment
  • Help children to make healthy choices
  • Work with parents, valuing them as their children’s first educators
  • Offer a welcoming and inclusive provision for all children and their families, regardless of ethnicity, gender,
  • religion, language, disability or social group
  • Value all children as individuals
  • Promote independence
  • To plan effectively in order for children to progress
  • To prepare children for the next step in their education
  • Build resilience

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum leading to approved learning outcomes where learning

through play is fun. Our adult to child ratio ensures care and attention for each child whilst having fun and making

new friends.
At Plough Green we have a dedicated SENCO who ensures that children who require additional support receive the

care they need.
Every child has an on-line Learning Journal where we record capture their early education and development

experiences. Over time it will tell you a story about your child’s learning, friends and the activities they enjoy

sharing with others.

We start the day at 9am. During the day all children access both structured and child-led activities . We have

snack time during the morning and afternoon where children help themselves to fruit and a drink (water is always

available during the day). We also have plenty of opportunity to explore outside.  We end our day at either

12 noon or 3pm.
